Ardmore Veterans Group

The Ardmore Veterans Group was started in 1999. The purpose of the group is to work together on patriotic community projects, set up a support group to ensure awareness of various benefits available to Veterans and to assist with advice and direction as needed.

The Veterans Group built a memorial walk which contains approximately 300 stones honoring both living and deceased Veterans. The memorial is located under the flags beside the railroad underpass.

Two yearly fundraisers are held; a pancake breakfast in March in the Ardmore, TN community center and man the concession stand during the annual Tractor Pull.

Funds received are used to replace flags, provide a college scholarship to a Ardmore High School graduating senior who is a relative of a veteran, and to help veterans and veterans’ widows who have needs.

The group meets every other month on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Ardmore, Tennessee community center.

Organization contacts are President Ken Crosson at (931)-427-8021 or Secretary Jack Watson(256) 423-8713.
